We are a research lab building AI systems that empower humans, not replace them. As artificial intelligence grows more powerful, the question of power control becomes critical. Our mission is to ensure AI remains a tool that serves all of us, equally.

We work on three fronts:

1. Products: We build tools that put control back in human hands. Our products emphasize transparency, user agency, and long-term thinking.
2. Research: We are trying to make AI systems transparent, controllable, and aligned with human values. Our focus is on creating AI that augments human capabilities while remaining firmly under human direction.
3. Consulting: We help organizations implement AI products in an ethical, safe and responsible way.

We believe the current trajectory of AI development implies great benefits but also poses real risks. Many systems are becoming black boxes in the cloud, with users having little understanding or control over their operation. Our team consists of researchers, engineers, and ethicists who share a common conviction: AI should enhance human potential, not diminish it. It should bring prosperity, not take away from many to benefit little.

Man’s population and gross product are increasing at a considerable rate, but the complexity of his problems grows still faster, and the urgency with which solutions must be found becomes steadily greater in response to the increased rate of activity and the increasingly global nature of that activity. Augmenting man’s intellect, in the sense defined above, would warrant full pursuit by an enlightened society if there could be shown a reasonable approach and some plausible benefits.

Our roadmap:

1. Work on the similar fronts and products as other teams - we need to aquire funds, knowledge and connections to get where we are going
2. Diverge - open source our efforts and double down on the team mission
3. Plant the seed - build strong self-regulating local and global communities that work together for the common good, who take responsibility for their actions and decisions, nurture and grow together.
